Level 2 Emergency First Aid with Defibrillation And Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
The Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid, Defibrillation and CPR is a qualification aimed at providing learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to conduct emergency first aid and to use a defibrillator.
Learners gaining this qualification will know basic emergency first-aid procedures and will be able to use a defibrillator correctly. The topics covered will help to maintain good practice in safe, prompt and effective emergency first-aid treatment of individuals.
Target Audience
This qualification has been developed specifically for those who wish to become an emergency first-aider and use a defibrillator.
Course Duration
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 1-day (8 hours) training course.

- Demonstrate basic emergency first aid requirements

Assessment Methodology
The qualification is assessed in two component parts:
Practical Observation: This practical assessment is completed throughout the course delivery. This ongoing assessment requires learners to demonstrate practical first aid skills.
Multiple-choice theory assessment: Learners are required to answer a series of questions, contained within the theory exam papers.
